Gym Teacher: Patrick O'Reilly
45 years old.Brown hair, Brown Eyes, bushy mustache. Born and raised in suburban Boston. Parents were middle class, dad was a police officer and mom was a school teacher at Russell. He is a big Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins fan. Has two older brothers and a younger sister. They all live in Boston. Both of Pat's brothers are gym teachers at other local schools and there is a friendly rivalry between sports programs and the three brothers. He went to public high school at Charleston North and played varsity baseball there. He went to college at BCC, Boston Community College, then went to graduate school at Syracuse. When he was 26, his mom landed him a gym teaching job at Russell which he still has today. He is married to Cindy Kenner, they met in high school. He has two children, John John age 14, and Brian age 10. He was a pothead as a teenager, but has slowed down since getting older. He still smokes here and there. Character shaped around "Coach Hines" from MadTV. A little crazy, but in a funny/good way. He is friendly and outgoing. He has been working at Russell for 20 years. Students seem to like him, although there have been some students in the past which have had feuds with him. In 2000, a student stated a fire in the gym locker room as a way to get revenge on Pat because he failed him in gym class for never showing up. Pat tackled the boy to the floor before he was able to get away. The fire caused damage to the locker room, but was put out before it destroyed it. Pat decided to take him to court for arson. The kid ended up going to jail for 1 year, but the student body was pissed because the kid was the star quarterback for the football team. The faculty saw Pat as a hero, but the students hated him for the next 4 years. When pat was asked why he pressed legal charges against a teenager, he said "This is my house son, no one messes with my house." This became a trademark saying for him, and he now keeps a giant poster board of the quote over the locker room entrance with a giant round cutout of his head next to it. Growing up Pat was a good kid, although he hungout with the wrong crew in high school and often had run in's with the local police. He likes to bring up the crazy stuff he and his friends did back in the day. He often goes off on rants that have nothing to do with the conversation hes currently having. He has bipolar tendencies while conducting his gym class. He will be screaming his head off insulting a student then the next minute be complimenting someone else. Pat always receives calls at work from his wife Cindy and they always argue about daily life things going on. When Carl is hired, he befriends him and becomes very annoying. He likes to play jokes on the faculty and students. He drives an old Toyota Corolla that backfires every time he puts it in park.
